If you wait for stars to fall..
If you wait for the stars to fall,
Life seems to slip quicker by,
and soon, before you even now,
You have a boy who's grown so tall.
That boy will look to the starry skies at night,
His eyes sparkling with childish desires,
and when you look at him, you see yourself,
he's just like you, but not quite.
You see he's not waiting for a star to fall,
He's already caught one, right in his hands.
He opens his fists to show you
And out flutters a photo of wall.
Against that wall, sit two doves,
Between them, an olive twig.
But their branch was rejected,
their forbidden love never forgives
